IMuscid Fly > Mesembrina meridiana
Description: Sometimes called the Noon Fly, or Mid-Day Fly, because of its habit of sunning itself during the hottest part of the day. This conspicuous and attractive-looking fly can be considered beneficial, as it lays its eggs in cow dung, its carniverous larvae living off the larvae of other flies, and hence usually only found in rural areas with cattle nearby.
