Description: Wingspan 17-20 mm. The larvae of this species feed internally on the shoots of red currant and black currant bushes (Ribes), and therefore tends to be found around allotments and other similar places. This rather small species is on the wing between late May and July. It is widely distributed throughout England and Wales, extending into parts of Scotland, but is not especially common anywhere.
